The 0 guage is the fuse....or is it the plates in the battery that act as a fuse!

its funny b/c it also says in the same manual that the battery is a dry cell which allows for it for various mounting positions or something like that.

As mentioned though, the manual says it can be mounted in any position.

While these batteries (and other gel type batteries) CAN be mounted on their sides or whatever, they will not work as well, or last as long, as if they were mounted traditionally.

In other words, you might be reducing it's life by a year or two. No big deal...
