What class would a single "12 and single amp with 800 watts peak be in? or single "12 and single amp 1500 watts peak?

As well, what would be a respectable score(on c weighted mic not termlab) for an amateur in these classes?

thanks

Street A (db drag) or Stock 1 (idbl) cant say..the only one I've ever used was made by radio shack and only went upto 126dB
majority of people that are into SPL are using Termlab or Audio Control

a lot of different factors in how loud you can be, car type, sub, box types, and even the amp. Sure the amp may be rated at 1500 peak, but could only be less than 1/3 rms. I've seen amatuer single 12's hit upwards of 149, almost 150 on a mic, and in a sunflower (oh wait sunfire), none the less, something about those cars, they are crap, but are good for bass?!?! I'd say a quality sub, made to handle the power of a quality amp, with a well built box (some premade boxes are still really good) in a the right car (not a sedan or truck) could hit mid 140's. But you'd have to set it up and test it to be sure. Amatuer scores, usually see people start at 140 and only go up. Best way to learn is to get out, test it out and get some advice from people who've been around longer

I doubt that would hit 140 on a TL, don't get discouraged though, it's probably in the 130's. Still pretty loud for what you have into it.

You should just come on out to a show and talk to the people there. Everyone helps me out, I'm sure they would help you too

Well the best way to know what your car will hit is to go to a show and not only talk to people but enter it in. Make a day of it and have a good time!

What are some good amateur shows in/around the T.O area? I know that there is one in woodbridge on july 17th, but other then that one! Secondly, for amateur events do they award prices or just a small trophy or plack!
