To be always compeitive, and one of the top competitirs in this game, you should be doing something everyday to improve, or try and gain db's essentialy I know not everyone has hours and hours each day to play around. Right now, i only have maybe an hour or so of free time each day with school, work, and everything. But i still try and dedicate at least some time each day to thought, building, planning, and what my next move will be!

doing something each day does not have to be building A box and testing it each day. I have gone about 2 weeks now sence i have built my 1st box! but i have been doing other things to help me. I have a binder or record book full of new ideas, dfferent equip to try, and i also browse some of the forums to get some help!

I work on spl everyday, weather it's on my computer, or in my garage annoying my neighbors burping my vehice every 5 minutes

just some food for thought! the more you put into it, the more you will get out

I am awesome at making daily systems work...In other people's cars.

All of my friends cars that I've built are totally awesome daily thumpers, but anything I try in my car for daily just doesn't cut it for me.

that is an interesting concept..ground your LIVE wire hope you have a fuse inline in that case..I always try to make sure my positive LIVE wire is grounded properly ))
sorry...I had to pick on you for that one
fuse? what's a fuse? is that those annoying gaps in the wire? i just took and inch of some 0 gauage wire, exposed the ends, and stuck in in the place gap labelled "fuse"...funny how it kept on getting really hot. but it got the job done.

^^ I think he's getting at the fact that you don't want to ground your LIVE wire.

That would cause a dead short and probably set your entire car on fire.

ONE SPL TIP OF THE DAY!!
Always make sure the positive wire when LIVE is taped at the end or is grounded or you will see a spark show in the back of the vehicle. HA ha
It happened to me
Street A not in the 150"s YET BUT GETTING CLOSE!!!

</font>
Peter, if I remember correctly you were the guy who almost caused a fire because his bus bars weren't secured properly.

So I don't think YOU should be giving people safety tips!!
</font>
hahha I know I know but I had to..atleast mine was accidental for lack of caffeine and cigarettes..since then I have quit smoking( 4 weeks and going strong) and cut back on coffee gone from 4-6 extra large to only 2-3 large coffees daily
