what kind of amp is that? looks like its budget so you probobly need a better one lol. also when you do that you will need to increase the size of the power wire and speaker wire. after you do that then working on the box would be a good thing. from what I have seen the most luck has been had with doing the largest box you can fit in the trunk facing towards the front of the car with the seats folded down and with the most port area you can fit in a box

You know someone is new to car audio when they don't recognise a Soundstream amp...
That being said, you might want to look for a Class D sub amp to ease the load on your electrical system slightly...Some of those old-school soundstream amps really jammed out the power when you loaded them to 2Ohms though, just not sure about their efficiency.
