People say street class competitors in dbdrag are cry babies because they whine and complain ever year rules come out..

Is that maybe because most competitors are in Street class? or maybe because the most drastic changes are usually in street? or is it just because we all want the make the rules to fit what works best for us?

I'd really like to hear everyone's honest thoughts about this..

I think it's a combination of all three to be honest.
I think it's the fact that people who wan to be competitive have to keep changing equipment every year, to be competitive in the class they chose to compete in. Also, if someone had wanted an amp power limit, last last year, and then saw this years rules...well they would complain. You can't help that really, people just love to whine.

But not only the rules, but at the actual comps, too many people whine bitch and complain when they don't win/hit what they want.
So why wouldn't they complain when the rules come out?

yeah alot of us do complian.. but when u look at it, it is hard for ppl to get into it very coimpetitively.

i mean as a new competitor to be very competitive in street A lets say, you have to out buy 2 strapable mono amps, or a very large single ampliifer, and 2 beefy 10's or 1-12, along with a headunit, and bigg-*** battery! Now for a newbie, your not going to find all this stuff at dealer, or competitor costs... you gonna go to local store or something, and see what they have.

now you'll probably end up spendin around 2500+ on the amps, about 500-600+ on woofers, 300 for a decent deck, and 300 for a good hawker battery! and those prices are low.. also include all the wiring, and accessories you need. probably another couple hundred?
basicly a competeive street system will cost around 4000$ for a new competitor.

that hurts.

I agree with Curtis...The costs for not only new competitors, but even some of us who have been doing it for a couple years is getting stupid.

So far I have had to pawn my DVD player, and whole bunch of other stuff, I've lost my cable because I didnt pay the bill...I'm doing all this just buy USED gear...

And even after all that....chances are, with the new rules how they are,I'll be beat to a pulp...But you never know..A good box might do some good too....

I also think Wayne Harris should have held onto bringing back Mini-street for the new guys. With Street being as it is,were going to see a huge drop in attendence this year...I can see it already..

Some people are just Chronic when it comes to complaining.

I will be new this year to competing, so I will more less have my a$% handed to me,, but im approaching it differently , for me to make progress from one show to the next is what im shooting for.. class me as you want, increasing the numbers on the sign is all that matters to me

Chris ALL classes whine, but more so in street.
Everyone wants to compete and win on a national level so they want the rules to fit what works best for them. But on the other hand mini street was brought back into dbdrag.
