Im looking at MD.2D or AX-1000DE..one of em will be pushing 2 05S12L5D2's. and will be used for SPL purposes. If anyone has either of these..id appriciate their 2 cents..

 

Can you post some links for ^^ so we can see what the specs on the equipment are ?

 

Both amps are designed to work at 1ohm and with your pair of D2 coiled subs they aren't the best match for you.

 

Sorry, the subs i have are D4's, the 3D merlin isnt on their site yets o i dont have the actual specs yet..and the 1000DE is 1000wrms@1ohm..eventually ill get (2) DD 3512, so in the long run, is this a good amp sub set up?

 

I have a md3. After blowing multiple md2's i went with the new md3. It isnt on there site yet, but they do have it. Its pretty under rated at 2000w at 1ohm.

Its a big amp though, so if your tight for space there might be a different amp with the same power that takes up less...
