us amps xt4000d vs. earthquake d10
us amps xt4000d vs. earthquake d10
which is better for street b in my crx running 2 kicker s12l5s dual 2 ohms hit 147.1 on dash with 2 bassworx 1200.1 strapped together wanna upgrade more power need wich is better
The USamps is 1500 Watts at 1 ohm and the Earthquake is 3k at 2 ohms.
How much power are you looking to put into 2 ohms???
If you are brave go for a VR4000D.
A pair of PowerBass XA3000D's would go nicely as well.
Are you sure the L5's can handle over 2k per woofer?
EDIT FOR MISREAD OF OP.

ok well first off your both wrong. no 1 amp is always louder depending on the setup. some people have dropped in more power and yeilded a loss in numbers.
the volume actually depends on the tuning. if the box is not right for 3kw's then the db score you had before might be the louder one. its easier to go big in the beginning and use less power from the amp then it is to try to get more out of a smaller amp.
but then again when i really stop to think about this silverbain is right.
the xt4000d will not help you to get louder, the earthquake amp will.
3000W>1500W
commone sense states that 3000 should be a larger number then 1500.
but who knows!!!!

Tuning is the only important factor? I was completely with you until I read that second sentence. Impedance rise depends on more than just tuning.
My vote goes with the D10, unless amps like the Z1 or 400.1 fit the budget. The PB 3000d and Crossfire 4k aren't ideal for the battery-limited street classes - they're decent, but not very efficient for street.

(I am a crossfire fanboi!)

You are comparing a 1500 watt amp to a 3kwatt amp.
