Walls And The Laws
#13
I need the trailer tow signal mirrors for my road train. The little Honda that decides to drive right beside me has no idea that I want to change lanes until I am on top of his roof. A lifted pickup would totally road train that little car.

Policeman's discretion, if they believe that you have modified the vehicle unsafely by removing oem equipment or hampering the safe operation by doing so. They can and will charge you. In the winter for example they can charge you if you don't clear off the snow from your rear window. There are a lot of laws that are over looked on a daily basis, it doesn't mean it's legal, just the cops can't be bothered. My suggestion is to tint the windows( you are allowed 95% on the rear legally, 35% max on the sides) they won't be able to see inside very easily. Just please make sure you can see properly enough not to endanger anyone else.

As long as the DOT says it's ok the cops can take a flying leap.
I had a friend with a Cavalier Z24 that had one of those stupidly huge spoilers that only look good on Skylines and an ignorance can on the back....she was pulled over and told to remove all her junk off her car because it was too loud and she couldn't see out the back window because of the spoiler.
When she told me what happened I grabbed her and took her to the DOT where we were told that both items were perfectly legal and to ignore the cop.
So weeks later I was riding with her when the same cop(apperently) pulled us over and she got a ticket for unneccisary(sp?) noise. I went to court with her and fought the ticket and won because right on the box for the muffler and Spoiler they say DOT approved, case dismissed.
So, I don't know what cops are like over in BC...but here in my area and the surrounding areas....they are pretty much punk kids that think they are Magnum PI that don't know the first thing about the law....so check with the local DOT about your wall.....if they say it's cool then screw what the cops say.
Sorry...long *** story.

AS Vladi said you only need 2 working mirrors that goes for anything if you are missing one side mirror then you need the other side mirror and the centre mirror. Also some vehicles dont have rear windows. so the centre window is not needed.
