What will pound harder

My 18 inch fi btl on a hifonics brutus 2610D in a ported box 5.9 cuft, 32 hertz
or
My buddies two 15 inch eclipse ti sw8200 in a sealed box on a single alpine 2000 watt amp.
I know his is gonna have better sq

Neither. They will both pound with exactly 22 pounds per square inch.

OP, Your question's an age old question. I do find it ironic that the topic is "what will pound harder" leading me to believe you're after SPL, but yet when I read your question it's SQ you're concerned about... Then there's the variables of the cars, the subs, the amps, the boxes all being different. Then, when you look at the power on it's own, when you put that in an SQ perspective, you're going to need a SOLID front stage to keep up with 2K watts plus, so I'm assuming you're strictly looking for "boom"

Ya, Strictly SPL, not Sq, I stated that I know his are better for SQ. I have 2.6k watts

yep, take them to a comp and get them metered. Does your 18" have the ability to out pound 2 15"s .... possibly, but as already mentioned there are many variables.

that amp wont put out 2600rms even if it were powered by the Chernobyl reactors.

lol damn you have some short knowledge. Hifonics makes some of the best SPL amps out there.
