At what point in any of the posters comment did he mention anything about SPL?
And Dude, I dont care what SPL people do, its a safety issue and fuses should always be installed. Plain and Simple.
I doubt for a second that your system is designed well enough to the point voltage drop from a fuse is your last resort to squeeze 0.1DB out!
NO FUSE = Retard!

What these wingnuts are referring to is; a fuse and all its connections could potenntial cause a drop in voltage which can affect the output of an SPL system. Any time you have multiple connection breaks between the battery and amplifier it can cause resistance along the line. However what they are failing to discuss is none of them are at the level where this could actually matter. Maybe if they are so serious about the sport and they have exhausted all resources in design ability then sure. But your average spl system? who cares?
And if its a daily driver, listen to Forbidden!
Sorry if anyone is offended but you serious SPLers have to realize, be more selective in your recommendations to people or they could potenntial do some damage

I said the POSTER? not the guy who answered the thread!
And if I was the guy who asked, I would have understood from his comments that I shouldnt use a fuse if I do SPL? Did he qualify the guy about it being a daily driver? NO! Did you qualify the guy as to his experience? NO.
So before you get you panties in a bunch, I would expect you to realize that a person asking where to buy an AGU fuse, which any shop in the world would stock is fairly inexperience and shouldnt be getting advice about something that only a serious SPLer would do!

Second, I'm not sure if you noticed, but this is the GENERAL SPL SECTION.. so the fact that it was even posted here means it's for SPL purposes.
THIS is what we do. If you don't like it, don't come in here.
If you don't like what I do in my own car then don't look

No serious competitor uses fuses. And this guy saying no one on this board is serious enough into SPL to see gain from running fuses, you better check some of out some of our #s man.
My biggest question is why was this posted in the SPL forum?

After that someone mentioned that for SPL purposes *WE* don't use fuses. Then the debate started.
No one told this guy not to use a fuse. Maybe you should try reading the whole thread before loading up the "keyboard commando" cannons.

Well that expalins your vehicle buying addiction. I just thought you were loaded turns out your just an SPLer. Huh who would have guessed it???
My blazer is still fire free with 0 fuses and 12 runns of 2/0, guess im one of the luck ones.
Gonna throw this in for fun to.....
