wheres Curtis..... I think that he had something like 20 runs of 0/1 from front to back in his CRX, something like 250lbs of wire!!! 8 runs none the less is a feat in it's self!!!

the 4 gauge to the chasis provides a ground for other electrical systems in the car, while the 0 gauge is strictly for the amps... there is no need to go bigger on the alt to batt, b/c stock alt only puts out 90 amps and the 4 gauge is about 3 feet long.

Maybe in Street class... what about Super Street? My bad if it's only been a few YEARS since I competed... I was just trying to comment that it seemed a little excessive... but that is what this hobby / life style is all about isn't it
