Would it wrong to use 8 6.5" subs to compete in Street A, being as the rule states that anything 8"s and bigger will be considered.

Why wrong?
It states that a woofer 8" or bigger will be counted..nothing about woffers smaller...

Why no work?
Apply enough power to enough 6.5"-er's and wire them in a correct configuration...

I think it would work...how well...who knows..but I think it would work..

</font>
Ok tell me then, what 6.5's will handle 250 watts each at 50 or so hz? Which 6.5's will peak or be loud at 50 or so hz?

Will dB Drag allowed it? No way.

I also take that as 8's and larger have to be used. And if 6.5's were allowed they would rate a certain amount only per class as with 8's and larger so that they do not a cone area advantage.

</font>
Well have you ever seen John Nolte's horn with two audiobahn 6.5's that did mid 140's on the old meter at like 40 some hz and had a flat response down two 20hz running off of a 200watt kicker amp? I'm sure that would be legal i just haven't seen too many people trying it...I guess we'll just have to ask Ray

old idea....i was gonna do it like 3 years ago, with 80 focal 5"s, and 1 10"...worked out to be the same cone area as like 7.5 18"s...then i realized how much 80 focal 5"s would cost...

even if you pulled a high number for XX amount of 6's per say, wouldnt that be ok because the rules state "The dBDRA considers speakers with maximum diameters of 8 inches or larger to be woofers." (I dont know if this make's any sense but will read it again when I wake up)
