$1000.00 Brax tweeters

has anyone used them or heard them, and are they that much better than the Morel supremo or Scan Speak 2904's etc...??? Just curious as to what makes them so expensive, and is there a noticeable improvement in SQ?

Name, hype, R&D, materials, packaging (in that order).

I wish I had a chance to hear them... if they sound just as good as the Accuton D20-6 then it might just be a bargain.

If you're refering to the Matrix 1.1 (https://www.woofersetc.com/index.cfm...roduct_ID=3568) I believe a few people on diyma have used it... doesn't seem to have as much hype as other tweets out there so my guess is that it's not worth their $1k asking price.

I really wonder how much audible difference there can be between a quality set of $200-$300 tweets and a $1000 set of tweets. I just dont think I could ever justify paying that much for set of tweeters when i could pick myself up a nice 3way component set or something along those lines for the same price.

^ And that's usually the million-dollar question. Laws of diminishing returns and all that. But if you are one of those winners of the genetic lottery, you can hear as good as your wallet or marketing departments will allow

I suppose it's like the F#1 status Revelators being 3x their actual price...I guess those Brax components would be a lot cheaper if they could be sourced directly from the manufacturer.
