Now I'm more of an SQ guy. I rather my music sound crisp and clear then just having booming thunderous bass rattle my car apart and popping my trunk open

However some bass is good so I've got a JBL GT100 10" subwoofer. Specs are:
Sensitivity (2.83V @ 1M): 90 db
Power Handling: 250W RMS (1000W Peak)
Frequency Response: 28~500 Hz
Nominal Imdedance: 4OMHS

Now having had only one of these (and it was under powered btw) and it pounded pretty damn good for me. However I'm wondering if 2 of these would be too much for an SQ set up?

What's your opinion?

I think two would be fine. You can always adjust everything to suit your tastes.

If it pounded pretty damn good for you underpowered then why do you want to add a second?
Giving it adequate power will give you more ouput and add to the sq of it by giving it enough power to perform as it was intended.

I'm an SQ guy myself as is everyone on this forum I would imagine, but I like loud heavy bass every now and then depending on my mood. That is why I have 2 12" jbl power series subs in my system and adjustable bass control in my head unit and my amplifier( punch 6001 bd). This set up allows me to dial in just the right amount of bass for my taste on any given day. To answer your question, 2 subs are not a problem if you set it up right and have control over them.

Yea, I don't think 2 of them would be pushing it.

I had thier older series woffers.
These are very similar.

THEY POUND. I`m thinking they are spl oriented though.

Sealed or ported they rock.. but ported is the way to go with these woofers.
I would try something eles if you want a little more sound quality, depending on what you listen to.

if you have the extra money and your system woudlent beneifit from an upgrade somewhere else.....then i would say throw a 2nd one in there you can always adjust to your perference.... and you will be running the subs a little easier
