6X9' or 6.5' components to the front doors?

Hi, I sold my chevy epica and got a 2007 Toyota Camry se 3.5 with the premium jbl Audio.

My old setup is:

Clarion NX500 double din dvd navigation system
6.5' Cerwin vega v-max components
AMP 1 Hifonics HFI 100.4
AMP 2 Hifonics 1610d
JL 12W6V2

In the Camry I have 6x9, I got used to put component speakers in the front doors, I can make adaptors for the sizes, or I can get 6x9 speakers.
I think I can stay with the original rear 6x9 speakers.
I'd like to get an SQL as much as posible

what should I do?

I'd get an adapter to mount a 6.5 in the 6x9 slot and mount the tweeter on the pillar or somewhere where it's not stuck inside the door.

Rears aren't as important. **** the rear passengers, plus the tweeter is firing up which at least has a shot at imaging off of the rear window.

My 2c, I'm by no stretch of the imagination an SQ vet, though.

Definitely go with the 6.5". Not only will the music sound cleaner, but there's no need for the extra bass that the 6x9's offer. Plus, there are a lot more options with 6.5" component sets.

I would stick with 6x9's in the doors no questions about it: you get the surface area close to that of an 8 inch plus you also benefit from better off axis response then a 6.5. It's win win. Of course I wouldn't just get any 6x9, I would get a component one like the ones from massive audio or cdt.

I was going to say that another option would be to look at some 6x9 components and was going to mention cdt since i bought me cl62's and noticed thry had 6x9 so that is another option

Now I am confused, I think I am going to keep the 6.5, it will save me some money, some of you prefer the 6.5.

If you're not running a sub going with the 6x9's will give you another 20Hz in extension not to mention will probably be more efficent. If looking for pure SQ though, there aren't really any "audiophile level" 6x9 sets.

But the Massive Audio and the CDT Audio ones "AAAAAAA" suggested both sound really great and if you want to get loud toss 300wRMS per side on them, they'll take it.
