haha nice comeback

doesnt matter if its temporary or not secure them for the time being accidents happen and I will bash anyone and anything that I feel is unsafe or that could kill another driver so shut your mouth

it's probably a good idea to secure the box even temporarily or put it behind the driver's seat when driving...weird can happen on the road. I remember a couple of years ago an entire family in a van died because a hard cased coffe cup fell and got lodged under the brake pedal...they crashed into a cement wall. The box while not able to get under the pedal may still move and prevent your legs from operating the pedals properly...you never know. Anyway, I think it's in the way you give advice that makes someone consider it!

Not trying to **** anyone off or anything, but I was thinking the same thing...that can't be safe.

Other than that, the system looks great.

Although I agree somewhat with what you're saying, cav, you probably could have found a better way to get the point across instead of unleashing a week's supply of pent up anger into a random rage dump post denouncing the guy's work... positive criticism - look it up buddy

Well, I agree that weird stuff can happen, but, the wire as you see it in the pics is shorter than that now. The box is really stuck in it's corner and worse case scenario, it can spin a bit a prevent me from accessing the clutch without slightly scraping by calf on it. But, it can't get in my way. It has to travel about 2 feet to be in the way and has only about 2 inches of cord to do this in. And, the wire itself is stuck with a some tie-wraps and the actualy panel So, box ain't movin' on my side. Passenger side... it can fly ! But who cares... no pedals there... Unless I start doing a barrel role and it comes flying into my head... that would suck... but, this weekend, they should be resting in the doors.

thats cool and yeah worldwind I maybe did let loose some built up anger I apologize for that sirsleepsalot, its just when I see shafty work like that it scares me to think that we as a common group let installs like that slip by and when there is accidents caused by that it makes me think what we as a group or club did something wrong to pervent that accident from happening, again I am sorry for any negative comments that may have been takin the wrong way , and cant wait to see what your fiinished install will look like

Talking

^ Very good post. Kinda like when you see some guy run a whack of power wires through his car with no fuses on them. Makes me shake my head..

I have had my midbass drivers in boxes like that for over 5 years and I cannot complain. The sound is amazing and they don't move at all. The only time they moved was when I got into an accident and it had nothing to do with the speaker boxes.

By the way SIR, I would love to hear your setup, pm me your # and we'll meet up sometime. I'm not too far from you.
