'93 Single cab GMC sierra

Hey guys,

A good friend of mine and I are trying to decide on a setup for his 1993 GMC Sierra Single cab.

We have brought it down to:
Alpine IVA-W203/P1
At least one SWR-T10
A PDX (not sure which yet) amp

But we are stalled on the replacement for the factory Speakers, With such a small space to be pushing sound into what is going to help us get a good SQ.

I think that a set of three ways would be a bit much, not to mention the HU doesn't really have full control over the three ranges. What would be a good choice? My buddy is pretty stiff on staying with all alpine products so it would need to be from there selection.

Thanks.

Well there's no room for that deck in that truck anywhere, so I'd look at something else.

where are you planing on putting the swr-10?

I'm 5'11 and my seat leaves about 5" of space behind... just enough for the amps no to over heat.

i've got a 88 sierra single cab. Did you replace the bench with buckets?

I just started installing my gear in my winter beater. and i love my Mrp-m500. it was my sub amp last year but i replaced it for next season.

Don't mind the plywood, its gonna fiberglassed

Actually theres is.

In the dash where the install kit puts a single din deck there is nothing but empty space for miles. and theres even more if you sacrifice the center vents

yup that's right where we are putting it. The vents aregetting rerouted somewhere. Once we get going there will be buckets and a center console put in so space for the subs and amp are nit an issue. What I worry about though is having too much speaker for that cab. I'm not sure what would suite that small space.

No Pics yet, still in the planning phase. I will start a thread when we get going a bit. My buddy has ripped out the single DIN kit and ripped out the old stereo, I think we will start rewiring this week and hopefully get a HU back in there.

but getting back to the speakers guys, Im not sure what to do here lots of options but whats going to sound good?

Any good component set with a decent 4 channel will suit your purpose the alpine 5" 2 way compnents are nice. I'll try to find the link.

Any pics of the truck? And where are you from?

I live in the vancouver are but my buddy's truck is on the island so it'll be one step at a time. The layout is just like your truck except its a stick, no power options. right now it has a bench but will be going to buckets eventually.
