Hey guys I have a couple of ???s for the alpine pros
1) how are the Xovers they have built into the HU? Do they compare with the stand alone units like Audiocontrol and so on?

2)I was looking at the DVA9965 or the 9860(dont need the powered outputs)and still dont understand how I could run my system without a stand alone Xover or......
I want to run my front components active (HU)and the rears thru the passives and of course the subs thru the active (HU) while retaining the fader control but the HU only has 3 sets of outs?
Whats your opinions?
Thanks

1) ill let someoen else try to explain as ive been thinking about how to for the last 2 minutes and cant think of an easy way lol

2)i have never seen a head unit with more then 3 preouts as it would not be practical .. youve got 1 for your front channel , 1 for yoru rear channel , and 1 for your sub channel . the front and rear will fade with the controler and the sub will usuualy not be affected by the fader as bass is supposed to be omnidirectional(sp?)_.

Thanks guys
I have a couple of Xovers I can use I just thought a new HU would clean up some wiring?
My Eclipse has the 3 preouts but no Xover so it looks like I will just stay with it and use the stand alone Xover for the fronts and the sub and the rear ill run thru the passives.
