I wasn't being a douche, I thanked him for his attempted explanation, do you think you could try explaining it for him, I would like to hear your take on this phenomenon, have you encountered this "processed sound" in your experiences

Just to let you guys know I currently have the H800 setup in my living room running optically between my soundcard then connected to my ht receivers inputs and even with the slightly half assed nature of how its all hooked up it still sounds utterly fantastic! There deffinatley was an initial noise issue, the same one other people had found, but after doing the fw update this thing is dead quiet all through the volume range. Just to let you guys know I havent yet tested the analogue inputs but I will give them a try down the road and report but, but so far what I am hearing I am loving! The software for this thing is really fun to use and I love this new RUX controller with its nice bright biolite display, although I wish the screen was a bit bigger. So initial impressions of this unit are very good, I will report back after I do some more testing and hook this baby up in my car.

IMHO, what i think Julian is trying to say is that his car sounded unnatural. Tonally it was off in one way or another. I heard the car, but didn't take notes on what I heard. Personally I think it probably needed more processing, to alleviate this "processed" sound phenomenon. One of the biggest problems with have the adjustability of a processor, is having the ability the manipulate the sound to a point where it sounds worse that if there was no processor at all.

How could I begin to explain it when I never heard his car? I can't be sure but maybe the sound of his car just annoyed him in some way kind of like some douche bagging on his post by being condescending?

Like I say, I can't be sure.. :eyes:

I didn't indicate anywhere that I was asking your opinion on his car specifically, I asked if you had heard the "processed sound" phenomenon and if you had could you describe it, im going to assume by your lack of a relevant response that you haven't but I applaud your honesty

Assuming things is bad practice. I am ignoring your request as it will either be pointless or you are simply trolling.

mommjomma 07-24-2011 07:29 PM

I agree, probably pointless, thank you for not wasting my time

Update, the H800 is officially installed in my car and so far I must say its pretty awesome! The imaging is way more defined and pin point, there is no noise floor what so ever and the outputs on this thing are super loud! One draw back I have run into is that I am currently not able to get my sub control working on my deck but hopefully I will figure that out down the road.
