Alpine SPX-F17T for SQ

Have anyone had any success with these Alpine 3-ways SPX-F17T or should go in another direction - like Focal?

Thanks

where did you get these from, their a great set of speakers, midrange and midbass are strong sounding and quite smooth. The only problem i've heard is the tweeters are bright and can be pretty harsh.

The xover for these are amazing and i'd like to get my hands on another set.

for pure sq, there are other companies that will sound cleaner than these like the focals

Thumbs up

I'm in the midle of deciding on better speakers then my JL 650CSI's and I saw these on Ebay while surfing at work!

I almost bought them 2 years ago!

Let's hope I'm not in a bidding war with someone :P

Are you prepared to go all the way (and I mean all the way) to install these speakers PROPERLY. Count on the install being way more than the speakers sell for. Do you posess the abilities to tune the speakers properly? If the answer is no, pass on the speakers and go to something that is install friendly and will sound amazing, my recommendation is Morel. www.morelhifi.com

what's your budget for your front stage as well other brands your condsidering? the amount of power running for these will also have somewhat of a role

your front stage amp, the alpine mrv-f345 does 75x4. is there any rear speakers?

The Alpine 345 is dedicated to the fronts only no rears!

I'm looking at long term with this car so my budget is whatever I can get!

what other brands have you considered? as well do you want a 3-way more over a 2-way set?
