Which Amp? Zapco or JBL?
#1
Tht two amps that I have right now are a Zapco AG250.. (rated at only 250watt's... but Zapco is known for under-rating their power).. or a JBL 600.1? (rated at 600watts)
I thought my Zapco died, so I bought the JBL... turns out my subs died instead.. so I have both amps at my disposal now. Which one should I keep? I'm looking to push a couple 12's... maybe even go back to a couple 10's still.
Thanks,
NC

If you have an active crossover, you'd might as well go with the JBL. If you don't, however, use the Zapco. The JBL's onboard crossover is one of the worst I've seen. Not only is it inaccurate to the point of guessing, it has been known to colour the signal.

not yet... still getting mixed reviews in the other thread. I might just say forget it and just grab a couple JL 10W3's in a JL Audio box for $50 CDN. Just so I can at least get some bass back in my car again!
I am looking into Yuli's set up too... just waiting to get specs on it.

If you can get a couple 10W3's in decent shape with a box for $50 (provided they can give a final impedence of 1 or 2ohms) I would ****** them up.
The v1 W3's are still good performers if in good condition and if the impedence is correct for the JBL600.1 to run in then you're set.
