Audison LRx 2.250 vs. Zed Audio ESX Quantum 120.4

Which amp is better for powering my current pair of Focal Polykevlar 165 K2 component speakers (rated at 100w RMS)? I originally had just the Audison and it sounds incredible, but I am wondering if I should take it out and just replace it with the ESX. Will the ESX have the same SQ and is it putting it out an ACTUAL 120w RMS into 4 channels at 4 ohms? The Audison's power ratings are ACTUAL power ratings, as they are all followed by RMS. The ESX's power ratings are not followed by RMS. However, it is a really popular and powerful old-school amp, so it is hard comparing it to a powerful new-school amp. That is why I am confused and need a professional's advice on which one to keep. I got the four-channel ESX just in case I ever decide to add rear component speakers, even though I will be only running two speakers off of it for now. The power output on both amps is almost identical at all impedances, even though one is a two-channel made in Italy, and the other is four-channel made in U.S.A.

Please help me get out of this dilemma! I don't want to end up keeping both amps! Thanks in advance.

Well, I do not have an EQ nor can my tweeters handle the output power of this amp, so I will stick with the Focal crossover for now. I would have to upgrade my tweeters and buy an EQ before I could run the comps and tweeters separately off of the four-channel ESX amp.

Any more opinions guys? Which amp is better, hands down?

I will have to find out the model of the tweeter later, but yah, I know they are all underrated and take a lot of juice as long as they are run off of an SQ amp (or you are running an EQ and processor). However, please tell me what you guys think about the amps themselves. Which is better overall?

Thanks, that is one opinion. Any others? Can you please explain why you think the Audison or the ESX is better?

I don't think anyone here knows about the ESX amps, because there was so few of them made back in 1996 before the company went bankrupt. They are some of the best amps ever made, and they are very ahead of their time. Today, only Audison's four-channel amp that costs around $1,100 can probably produce the same amount of juice and SQ as the Q120.4.

However, I still do not know if its ratings are RMS or peak. If someone lives in Richmond Hill, maybe they can help me test it? If someone knows off the bat which is better overall, then that would be even better! Let me know. Thanks in advance.
