I am about to make a large purchase of sound deadening and would like to know how well B quiet Ultimate stacks up against Dynamat Extreme. I dont only want to know how well it dampens but also how well it sticks to various surfaces and how well it stays adhered in different temperatures.

 

I have installed copious amounts of both products in my car and IMO the B-Quiet is a better value. The Dynamat is a bit thicker and therefore I am assuming it dampens better than B-Quiet but probably not significantly more to justify to difference in price. The B-quiet and the Dynamat bond very well to the metal of the inside of my car and I have not had any problems with peeling in temperature ranges from +30 to -30 degrees. Dynamat had fewer air pockets to get rid of as compared to the B-Quiet, but I found the B-Quiet easier to cut into shape and it usually made a better fit in nooks and crannies.

My conclusion - buy at least twice as much B-Quiet as Dynamat for less $ and you will have beter sound dampening.

The difference from the 2 sound deadners is 1 mm, you can but two layers of b-quiet for cheaper than 50 square feet of Dynamat.

I've had good experiences with B-uiet Extreme, but I've never used the Ultimate, or Dynamat for that matter. Dynamat is just too expensive to even think about buying it. Maybe if you had lots of cash to spend it would be worth the extra money, but otherwise, I doubt it...
