Im looking to invest in a good battery, i know about the yellow tops and the Odyssey PC2150. I just want to know if there are any other batteries that can outperform the ones i have mentioned.
thanks

Look into the Bat Cap setup. This is a battery/cap hybrid that has some truly amazing performance. Not cheap though.

Any "super" battery technology battery is a good enough upgrade for the average install.

Install any of an Optima, Orbital, Odyssey, or whatever battery into the average or even high-end system, and they all will improve things greatly. You won't notice any difference from one to the next, other than capacity (like the small 15 pound Odyssey just can't hold a load as long as a 35 pound Optima, even though they may perform the same under load).

Reliablity/length of life is the main issue among brands. I have yet to see any of the super batteries surpass the ten year mark, except the Optima. I've seen it last fifteen years without needing replacement.

So I recommend going with any of them, pick whatever you like best, has the capacity you want, or is cheapest if money is an issue.

However, if you are competing and trying to squeeze an extra tenth or two of a Db out of your 10,000 watt competition system, you may notice some differences among them.

Yes!...... those are the ones with the removable cells. and It allows you to custom make a 14V or 16V battery.

Surrette Batteries are well known in the marine industry, as well as the heavy duty equipment industry for cats etc, logging industry loves 'em because they can take the vibration without breaking down like most batteries out there would.

Here's linky and linky:
