Best head unit and components for sq
I am looking into upgrading my head unit and components for SQ, I currently run a kenwood deck, not sure of model number off top of head but basic with a sub control and separate rca outs. I run a 4 channel arc audio fd 1450 for my fronts and my back component 6x9's I am looking to upgrade from my current fronts fronts to something that can take more power as my currents ones only run at about 60 watts rms. I was thinking of DLS Ultimate UP5i - 2-way component, or something focal or other dls component.. any thoughts.. also i have only ever had 2 basic kenwood decks, not to sure what i should get any suggestions ?

If you want the best currently available, I would agree on the Pioneer P99 or waiting for the new Alpine DVD/H800 processor combo. One is around $1k and the other will be around $2k, so not cheap.
People can get expensive when throwing suggestions out and "spending other people's money". I would suggest you maybe put up your budget for these items and what your goals are (neither processer is worth the money if you don't want to run a 4-way setup).
Note: 4-way = Tweeter/Midrange/Midbass/Sub

is often easier to tune. It comes down to your taste and budget.
If you want new gear the Pioneer already suggested is a nice all in one piece. If your ok with used gear, the H701 works great for me.

I also live in your area.. What's your budget? Car? Size of comps you can fit. Your going to be running the arc amp to them? I would bridge that amp and run just a front stage instead of the rears.. Especially to get more power to the components that u pick up.

I would disagree with this a little. 2way front stage can work very well, and
is often easier to tune. It comes down to your taste and budget.

To the OP, again, the best route to go when asking for advice is to very specifically list your goals and your budget. It will help in getting accurate feedback.
