Im going to fix my girlfriend a system for her birthday and I was thinking of 1 or 2 10" subs. She doesnt want all out slamming bass SPL so I figured id get her some nice 10's with good sound quality. What type and what enclosure should i get. Space isnt an issue.

Perfect sq subs 450 WRMS each

I just happen to have a pair in a brand new sealed bassworx enclosure
You can have it for 350 ....

 

personally I would go with a pair of SSA Dcons in a 2.0cf3 ported
enclosure tuned at 30hz with about 600w rms

they have very good SQ...
much better than 90% of the main stream subs

 

JL W6 or, if you are a little more budge conscious, the W3

 

What car? what amp? are you buying an enclosure or building one?
All these would make a difference in terms of which sub to use.
