i was going to do a dvd sey up for my son but i'm going to do a sq set up for me
so here is what i'n looking at doing McINTOSH or Clarion DRz9255 to an A/C dqxs to my audison amps to my focal speakers

but i need to know who has the best sq decks out there befor i jump into a deck then see something i did not see befor

 

I can't say there is a single best deck, because it's somewhat redundant. It's all about tradeoffs.

If money was no object, I'd probably get the F1 system.

Otherwise I have got a drz, but I'm not even gona compete. The only two issues I might have is the long rca runs to the trunk (noises :s) and only 5 bad eq.

Running a deck of that caliber to a AC DQXS is a waste of the deck IMO.

DQXS is a nice piece, but it's like buying Mercedes and putting bias-ply tires on it.

 

I think in some other topic on here he explained why he needs the AC unit.

I am not saying this is the best deck but nobody has mentioned the Pioneer P9 which is also a fine sounding deck... and should be in this conversation

8240/8250 are great units... I'm working on an optical out conversion for my 8240, to mate up with my H700, which will change things considerably.
