Best Tweeters

Re: ...
I have also worked with the Focal TN-51, 52 & Audiom TLR tweeters in quite a few installs....... they do work awesome in the piller. as you could actually dial in the dispersion pattern with the waveguide to avoid comb filtering or early reflections... to some degree, which is nice. and I think that's where these tweeter really shines on. It works very similar to the TLR (Its big brother). But the TLR is much more dynamic and accurate tonally on presenting the acoustic instruments/vocalist.

Going to have be baised here and say, Nakamichi.
I had a set of SP-522's (5 1/4 with tweets components). Brought them to get installed, installer was like, you "f**cker" basically lol. They produce warm yet crisp highs. The tweeter weighed alot itself.
Amazing speakers - then again like every brand there are good models and bad ones.

Going to do some mocking up this weekend and get an idea of kick space and what i can get away with. If they prove to be too large then some North Creek d28 soft domes seems to be a good option.
Any of the above would be better than what i have now.

hey,
best be knowing mines ganna be the focals, the Tbe of course tops the charts with over all sounding, very bright and not overly piercing tweets fulls the entire area with the sound of cymbals. sounds amazing in any apillar of the car as well as the Tn52's very versitile tweeter

The Morel Supremo is pretty tight
I also like the Focal inverted dome -- only metal tweeter I could stand
$$$ value though has to go to Dragster's 28mm Silk Dome.... very smooth and full.
I am also really starting to like anything Cadence makes
BTW... just for the record I still think MB Quart tweeters suck... a large dome metal tweeter that is sooooooooo bright it makes you want to puke... I'm glad it is in the box stores

Yes Joe,
I have heard the Focal Be. Nice, but not really my thing as far as the set goes. I would really like to hear it side by side with the new Polk Audio SR6500 set and a few others that are starting to make there presence known.
