CDT DRT-25 Tweeters, rms?

i have a set of DRT-25's and HD-6 Mids, i plan on running them active of an orion 8004 (100watts x 4) im curious, would the DRT-25's be able to handle 100watts rms? how should i set the gains to prevent them from being blow by overpowering?

IF you have a crossover, set your gains EXACTLY the same as the mids to start with then you can adjust up or down slightly from there to suit. Although you have 100w amp available, your tweets won't draw anywhere near that amount, the mids take a lot more power to drive them.

I was thinking of buying exactly the same speakers and when i asked in this forum, about running them active, was told that I HAD to use the passive crossover that came with the set.

no, they will be run active without a passave crosssover, it was suggested to me by my seller, i even emailed cdt about it and they said it was alright, although the x-over will be lower than the passive (they recommended 3700hz, and my amp only crossovers up to 3000hz)
