Justin had both I believe. If I remember correctly, he kicked himself alot for selling the 9255. As for the Eclipse, he didnt like it very much. But you better ask him just to be sure.

Cool

i disagree with mike bisson very much-a-so!!!! the excelon stuff while decent has a very noticable noise floor! i no like. as for the eclips piece it sounds decent but like most things now adays companies are compramising quality for features and what have u. i truly believe that eclips is unfortunaly doing that if u r looking for an sq peace. as for the clarion peace it is one of the few things out there that gets better every year. very quiet external dc to dc converter. no flashy extras! and have never herd of one that has broken down. my last one was 8 yrs old!!!!

The DRX is father to the DRZ, I have one, I love it. But I'd only choose the DRZ over the DRX for one reason...the remote

Other than that, I like decks without x-overs and T/A and stuff like that, although if I can get a real good price on the DRZ, I'd like to try it out in my system for a while.

The ONLY thing I don't like about the 2 units...is the outboard DC/DC converter....it's hard to find a place for it.

And as far as looks go, the 2 9255 units KILL any eclipse unit ever made especially the new stuff....I think they look like dog meat.

Justin, what are you doing in the SQ section -- I thought SPL guys were stopped at the door... LOL... We can agree to disagree, you are entitled to be as wrong as you like (wink) -- I like voltage - it helps eliminate the potential noise you create when you have to compensate for a lack of voltage...
