Thank you guys for the help...it looks like i cant go wrong with the MLK 165 so I will give that a go. Its my first install so it should be ten fold btter than my stock ones right now. i will go with teh higher up brands when i get more experience

what vehicle do you have?be sure to check the mounting depth before buying.do you want to go with mdf fibreglass pod.or just a straight install.take the plastic ring out and make a mdf one if going with a straight install.the stronger the door the better the sound.....maybe try cdt or focal.with a good electronic x-over.....

Did you find the MLK165's? I'd buy a set if I could find them new. Discontinued.
I've heard about fakes on flea bay. I wouldn't trust them if you find them for299 from private seller.

Anybody know if there are any real ones left?

Thank you for the offers, I found a new set of MLK165's, Ralph's Radio in Vancouver. I bought the last new set, they have demo 2 sets in the board, one at each store.
