A/D/S Powerplate P440 ...OR... Zapco Reference 200.2
Hi guys!
I recently scored a set of PG RSD 65cs components, and am currently looking for a REALLY good sounding SQ amp on the cheap.
I can get an A/D/S P440 or Zapco 200.2 for around $150 bucks...
Question is, which amp will sound better? I like a nice laid back neutral sound, not a bright sound...
I currently have an MTX X502 (gotta love boxing day, got it for $75 bucks at futureshop), and even though I've only had it for a week, I KNOW I need a different amp for these speakers, as they just don't sound like a step up from a set of stock GM speakers yet.
So yeah, which one would you gurus of car audio choose?
A/D/S or Zapco?
Regards,
Brock.

take them both, use the ads and sell me the Zapco
in all seriousness if the specs are accurate, the ads list 40w x 2, and the Zappy 50w x 2 (both @4 Ohms)...I'd pick the Zapco, more power is a good thing.
if you can hear the difference between the two (sq wise), you're better than anyone who could answer this question for you.

Sweet, I'm gonna get the Zapco 200.2 for my PG RSD 65cs for the front of the car, and a Zapco 350.2 for my rear deck subs, Cadence CVLW-69... I need my trunk space so I opted not to get a big sub, and from what I've read, the cadence drivers should pound hard.
Cheers!
Cheers!
