Agreed... I don't care what the passengers hear. Nor will they ever get to touch my controls.

To be honest, I don't even know if I will compete... if anything it's more for personal enjoyment.

Regarding time alignment, I'll be using the H701... hoping that will be good enough for my duties.

Since the tweeter pod assembly will be ready tomorrow, I may just test out that part... and design a coax style enclosure to be 3D printed for friday. With that... at least I could test out which setup is either easier to tune or nicer sounding.

Fozz: Pics of your setup?

bmw5: Well... the sl-170's will never be the same as the direct bsm's I had... but it's all I have now. If it doesn't do the job... I guess I'll start shopping again. hahaha

Marco marco marco: work on your car? I can't... and I'll explain to you why: you're sacrificing sound for comfort! that's beyond my beliefs. how dare you.

AAAAAAA: where will I go from there? honestly... if I knew, I'd be there. I don't think I'll ever have a completed sound system... cause more than half the fun is in the build.

Oh, and I didn't have an opportunity to listen to passenger side in the DLS car.

Hopefully I'll be able to post pics of the 3D printed parts tomorrow!

What a teaser... Would like to see more of how it's going to be mounted.

Here's a pic of the prototype I just had printed. Had to do a bit of sanding to get it to fit. Anyhow, here are the pics... not sure if I'm going to go with this route. Still debating to go the coax style route and those plans may be 3D printed tomorrow.

Any way to control the dispersion if I mount the tweet infront of the mid? Any thoughts on a Mirage Omnipolar style design?

That does look pretty sweet but once the angle is set all that adjustability is wasted. They'd make a nice set-up tool though.

That is very cool. Can you give us a rundown on what company did that for you, what it cost and what was involved in getting that made? Is it plastic? I'd love to have access to somebody who could stereolithography at a good price.

Now all you gotta do is get similar items done for a 3" mid and a 6" midbass, attach it ALL to you a-pillar and the European guys will LOVE you! lol
