what I've been able to dig up is that the C90 is the newer unit, but both have a similar appearance to them and I really haven't been able to find much in terms of feature differences.

Reason I'm asking is that I just picked up a C910, but I don't know if I should have held out for a C90

any ideas?

 

Different display, some slightly different features, but on whole, not much difference. The C910 has the problem of randomly shutting off never to be turned on again (unless fixed, of course). The display on the C910 is ever worse in the sun than the C90, but I prefer the look of it at night.

The CDX-C90 and The CDXC-910 do not look anything alike? [img]graemlins/freak.gif[/img]

THe C90 has a blue Florecent display
the 910 has a switchable Green/amber LED display.

The one thing they do have in common is they both have horror stories of going defective.

I have never sold or met anyone who has not had a problem with either of these units.

They have their cosmetic differences that tell them apart.

C90 has 4 20-bit BB DACs, C910 has 2.
C90 has 3 RCA o/p's and 1 Digital, C910 has only 2 RCA's and 1 Digital.

C90 has a different remote commander from all other units. Far more features can be used through the commander than on its unit display.

I thought the C90 had the Crystal Semiconductor DAC's and the C910 had the quad BB DAC's. ??? Oh well.

 

^ the 4000 processor has the crystal d/a's.. The C90 has quad BB's (But only 2 are used at one time).
