Dome mids +tweeters on dash?
#11
with today's dash locations it's harder to find ones that have decent mid locations. I'm more interested in a tweeter that plays down to 3K than a mid that plays up to 6K. My favorite is the Hertz MK II set that comes with different rear chambers for the tweeter to change FS depending on setup, it allows you to match the tweeter's response to the car and location.

Hmmmmmmmmmm..................... I'd actually like a tweeter that plays flat down to 20 hz myself.................... and it comes in invisible color so I can mount it anywhere........... with invisible duct tape. I think DUKK still has some of that invisible duct tape now that I think about it......... don't yeah Paul-ee !?!??!
BTW, where are you thinking of mounting that "HERTZ" tweeter that plays down to 3K .......... on the dash somewhere??

My experience has always been the the lower you run the tweets freq. wise up on the dash or in the A-pillars, the more and more you need to tune the system with electronics due to PLD differences. My belief is that a good install should have minimal tuning with electronics as for the most part it's alway coloring the sonic performance. Tuning with electronics is the absolute last thing that one should do and if you have to do it, it should be minimal or your install is f-ed up. By the way, I take it you REALLY REALLY like HERTZ. Are they your absolute favourite now or what ?!?!??!?!??

LMAO....... I don't know. Maybe. Hopefully it's not a favour of the month syndrome for the distributor. I heard that Hertz is springing up everywhere and that they are definitely putting a boat load of money into getting the name and the product out there........... like a BIG investment. Hope it works out for them and it's not all hype or it's going to bite back hard at the bank. I'm curious to "hear" what they are all about............ in a car environment.
Where's installman anyways ?!?!?!?

^ yeah but that's a pretty classic marketing strategy for audio already: hand over a bunch of gear (and extras) to a handful of big names that, really, would win with anything they used and sit back and enjoy the sales that the hype brings.
It's all good until the next company does the same thing..
