I was watching tv this morning and I happened to channel over Debbie Travis's Facelift at the right time! She was using the exact material I'm looking for (coincidence).
I'll go check crappy tire I think it's there! Thanks danyman

When I put my doors back together for the 5th time I just used 1/2" weatherstripping from Home Cheapo. The same type of stuff you would use to seal around a screen door for example. Comes in many, many, different thicknesses, width, and most important, density. Dirt cheap as well.

Home Depot has foam tape that's used for attaching a canopy to the bed rails of a pickup truck. Good stuff.
