3-way setup means having a 2-way front components speakers setup with a sub in the back. I am not into having oodles of sound tweaking flexibility, since once I set the system up I will let it stay that way for a long time, just want amazing SQ sound from the speakers and decent graphic display with the music (equalizer etc) for my children to enjoy...the price difference between and kenwood and the jvc is something I cannot justify to myself, hence the question..

I have the DNX 8120, I have very low gain settings on my amp(lots of pre-out voltage 5v), it has a 24 bit DAC, 12,18,24dB Burr brown crossovers, 13 band parametric EQ, time alignment, 5.1 processor, Parrot Bluetooth built in, etc.

I am running Dynaudio MK62GT's powered by Image Dynamics Q450.4 everything is run active and the control I have over my front end with this deck is amazing.
Thanks for the info. One question, I will be purchasing the unit from UAE and the one they have is listed as 8032BT. Is this similar in features to the one you have? and I am assuming because of the 24bit DAC it has similar SQ to the single DIN top of the line units...true, right?
How did you tune this unit btw? since it does not seem to have auto eq or ta.

Waiting for your valuable input thanks

Hey, one more thing, does the 8120 have any anti-theft feature like detatchable faceplate or something?

I have no idea what the 8032BT unit has compared to the 8120, is the one you are looking from the US???

The SQ is very much the same as the top of the line Kenwood X991(as I own one of those aswell) the pre amp in the 8120 and the X991 are the same.

I set up my deck to the way I like it, I have never used any type of auto EQ device, and if ta is time alignment then yes it has it. there are many other processing features within the audio setup that I have not used yet.
