My best guess as to the price difference is that in Canada Distributorship areas are well protected....as a result, way fewer distributors which results in less competion thus higher costs to the retailer.
good thing its a guess < for one taxes are just a tad higher
customs shipping is way higher in canada?? don't know why. + we pay the exchange too because everything is in US dollers< even in europe.
gotta account for heating costs too
ha ha just kidding guys.Oh + we might have one or 2 dealers in a 800 KM expanse while a US distributer doesen't ever travel that far. < more population in citys and all year round buying< we are seasonal at best.
just some factors, I could go on all day.
cheers

Oh ya go check your exchange rate at your bank, its not trading at what the bank of canada is< what you see on TV its about 5 cents on the doller more. Doller fluctuates so much you can't change your price every 2 weeks.
Just to many factors I'm afraid.
And yes I do handle all warrienty in Canada as well at my cost.

you can make all the excuses you want but the constants are the same eg, customs hasnt changed, shipping hasnt changed, yet the dollar has gone down considerably, so accordingly so should have prices because as the dollar went down prices went up, but now that the dollar increased in value and is stable and analysts expect it to continue to be strong prices have remained the same when the trend should be for prices to go down
Amen, can you say that someone is lining their pockets? How many times were we dealers charged a US Dollar surcharge because of the low Canadian dollar, yet once the dollar has risen to sky high levels no discounts were given to us. They should have a patch on their eye and a bird on their shoulder, Pirates.

The point I was making is the US does not pay the same customs as Canadians. Please reframe from attacking, I was just trying to educate, this is why companys do not tell you and keep you in the dark.
And I can not base my whole business off what analysts say, besides which ones? They do not all agree. I follow that as well, cause the price of gold makes or brakes my job on a steady basis for the last 7 years.
Besides I can't account for PG or any other company. I can only account for my actions and I have taken steps to keep my prices what they are, even though as of Jan 1st all my costs went up due to the high euro and the low US doller. Did you analysts see that? mine diden't
Please no mud slinging k? I enjoy this sport and wish to support it.
I use to be on the other side of the fence, boy were my eyes opened.
