man do all you people have bonners for focal ! people they are a french made speaker.... french. like they now anything about good sound... focal are a nice speaker.. look kind of kool and got there glory by having some very talented installers use there drivers in very very well designed cars... period they are not worth the price nor do they sound any better than........ oh say diamond or quart or even zapco. sooooooooooooo lets give them kudos for being a good speaker that will sound good if installed correctly. and if you use them will ,unfortunatly, give you instant credibility with alot of judges and consumers. now if you want a really high end top notch no holds barred speaker then check out the full line of "kricket". paul you know i love them.

i have had mb-q sorrey i have more then one set of speakers to test YES I LIKE FOCAL FOR SQ !
there are some speakers i would go with but at this time i have all focal and looking for the best set up with focal speakers
then i'm going to look at amp's and a new deck and maybe a dqxs A/C

The TLRs have an amazing amount of detail retrieval but they tend to overpower the rest of the system (and they are a little large and hard to install).
I am not a Focal lover nor a hater, there are tweets nearly as good at detail retrieval as the TLR available for MUCH less coinage. I think there are better at the price point and again they are large.
I like the little butt cheeks though

I'm not sure why so many people bash Focal, is it maybe because they can't afford a set, or have never heard a set? Too many people think they need to have all this fantastic gear like Scan-speak or Seas....is it because they aren't known as well as Focal? People want to be the minority or the underdog with gear nobody has heard of or uses and then usually end up doing poorly in competition, not to say people haven't done well with Scan or Seas.
I find it hilarious that people bash Focal, saying there's WAY better out there for SOOO much less. Well if this is true, how come not everybody has this "awesome" gear? If it's soo damn good how come most people still use Focal or JL or Alpine? Explain that to me.
The simple fact is, Focal is some of the best speakers in the world.....how many IASCA/USAC championships does it take to prove it?
Who are you to say that they suck, or there's better out there. Don't you think that if people really thought that, they wouldn't still be buying them up like they're going out of style.
I'm not saying there isn't better out there, I'm not even saying there isn't better for less money, I'm saying..quit bashing Focal....If anything they deserve a pat on the back, for sticking around and being as good as they are for so long. But nobody EVER does that....no it's JL this and Alpine that. **** them, I say cheers to Focal, what a great job they are doing. They build excellent speakers and there's a set for everyone's budget what more could you ask?

It all really boils down to personal taste and install.
Everybody knows that.
I shouldn't get too upset over all the Focal bashing I guess, because it is all about your ears, not numbers or trophies. It just frustrates me that people know damn well they are great and they still get cut up after years of winning in competition.
Not to mention what a stand up company they are. Focal bends over backwards for thier competitors.
