I've been looking at amps as wellfor focal 165k2p and 690CV, I have found lots of good things about soundstream but I found a forum where they said that some of the soundstream amps have started on fire, so that kind of turned me off of them. and of course everybody know audison is the best but too expensive. Actually the new eclipse amps have really steped up. I heard nothing but good things about them and they are a decent price too

The best sounding amps are in "the ear of the beholder",because if I spend $1000.00+ on an amp I will tell everyone I know its the best sound for the buck.However personaly I own Zapco,Zed audio,old school Soundsteam,Audison,Alpine and on my front stage they all sound the same!!!!!!
Absolute best sounding amps in order: pyramid followed closely by targa and then a toss up between kraco and sparkomatic. The pyramids did have some build issues though. Best bang for the buck is definitely Kraco if you can find one.
