Hifonics Txi 4008
Hifonics Txi 4008
So I just installed a Hifonics Txi 4008 for my front component system and I'm not sure what to set all the dials to because I've never amped a front set of speakers before so any help would be great! Here a link to the amp hopefully.

Keep your crossover switch in High Pass (HPF), your mode switch in stereo. Put your bass eq **** to a quarter clockwise turn starting from 0db, turn your high pass filter **** one quarter counter clockwise turn starting from 1.2khz, your low pass filter **** 1/3-1/2 clockwise from 30 hz. This will be a good starting point, you will have to listen and adjust stuff lightly as time goes by to get the proper sound you like. As for the level ****, keep it at the 5v point, turn your cd player volume up about 80%. Then start to slowly turn the level **** until you hear distortion then bring the **** back a little bit.
So I did all that and it sounds good.... but when there is no music playing or between songs there is a buzzing coming from the amped speakers. So is it a bad ground? bad speakers? or what?
Thanks for your help
Thanks for your help
I wrapped wire around the female end of the rca in the back of the deck and then wrapped it around a screw in the back and it didnt help. Could it be the quality of the rca's im using cuz im using just some crappy ones?
So I was just out there fiddling around with it and found something helpful out i hope.... when i change the x-over from High Pass to low pass the buzzing goes away, when i change it from low pass to full the buzzing comes back. So that leads me to believe that its not a wiring problem or an amp problem but a problem with my component set. Any new advise on how to fix this now?
