I have a pair of compression drivers which the CD2Neo's are based off. Image does not make their own compression drivers, although they claim to modify them.

The team MTX compression drivers are TAD 2001's which I also had, but could't get into my car... [img]smile.gif[/img]

No the MTX team HLCD (which were going to be produced as the T7000 MTX horns) were eminance drivers. How do I know.....They were pulled out of the MTX Civic (Grey one built by Shane) and sent to me....I re-installed them into an ontario T-Force Competition car, after MTX Marketing decided that HLCD were a not a good decision due to low intertest so they yanked them out of the civic. The actual horn lenses were just put on a shelf at MTX R&D

If you want the ID drivers just find a picture of one some where and start your web serch.

Start with eminance, p-audio, and TAD

ID does modify the drivers.......as in put a new sticker on the top.

I was only going by an article in one of the mags about one of the team members who had said they were TAD drivers. Maybe I'll go dig it out sometime....or not...lol

I think ID changes the diaphrams in some of their drivers, as far as I know they are using Mylar diaphrams, which are not available in the CD2Neo OEM driver. Matt has also said he modifies the phase plug, and rear chambers....his words not mine.

Scott used TAD drivers on a pair of Veritas lenes........and did the standard Magazine BS Hype (you know the "prototype, and "custom" and "modified" BS)

Cool stuff, I'd like to see the design of the MTX lense just out of curiosity sake. Too bad they never made it too production.

The horn was very very similar to the Veritas design, and make out of the plastic injection resine. Not really that interesting

Yea, Kicker did that too, with the competitors...they had the Resolutions, then they had a special set specifically for the competitors...I'm sure you can get that set somewhere but Kicker does not market it.
