Honda Altenator Whine

I have a 98 Honda Accord Coupe and when my stereo is on I have a high pitched whine that changes as the RPMs increase when under acceleration.

My deck is an alpine 9835.

Are there any Accord owners here that have delt with an solved this problem?

Edit: Whoops I meant to post this in the General Discussion board. Can a moderator please move this post?

You have a difference in ground potentials between the head unit and the amplifiers. It may be due to a crappy ground, a crappy component or a pinched rca cable.

Lightbulb

Happens a lot with 90s Hondas. Try adding a 'condenser' capacitor at the alternator. You can find them at any parts store, The Source, CanTire, etc.

Yo guy you have a loop between the signal and power ground ... best way to solve it is to use a isolated 12v/12v power supply to run your deck... since those are expensive to buy and most people wouldn't know how to make thier own the next best fix is to use isolation on the RCA line via a 1:1 transformer.... stay away from 'gound loop isolators' that are mearly a choke as they will mess with your frequency response....

check out www.navone.com for a fine selection of fixes for ground loop
