I agree with John Vroom and defro13, that is an amazing mid level set. Unless you are obsessed with the perfect sound, the polyglass should be MORE than enough. People tend to forget that audio quality is not linear. You're paying a buttload of money to install components that will make a marginal difference in my opinion.

I tell you what, you want to upgrade from a very nice set of comps that perform very well at their price point. There are competition systems out there running each of the mentioned systems that sound awesome. Where do you feel the Focal fails to meet your expectations, then we could make a more educated guess as to the proper driver (I say this since you did not want to upgrade to more expensive Focals).

I love the Focal's for their clarity in the midrange but feel they could be a bit more punchy. I also find that after listening to a soft dome tweeter ( I was able to listen to a similar setup to mine running with Hertz Space Components)that the Focal's tend to be a bit to aggressive with their metal domes. Taking that last comment one step further, one might even say that the sound gets fatiguing after awhile.
As voodoophile points out, the Focals are a great speaker at that price point but the quality of the Clarion tends to reveal some less desireable characteristics of the Focal's.
And who's kidding who.....do we ever buy one solution and stick with it? Kind of why I got out of home audio...the better you hear, the better you want, the bigger the Visa bill!
