It used to be you had to have at least 35pts or first in your division with more then 20 points. Its been a while though. I may be wrong.

Unfortunately there aren't too many SQ guys in the East.
I'm going to move this subject to the SQ section because I'm sure you'll have an easier time getting answers there.

shows you many people care about iasca, if you are willing to go from canada you should just get invited instead of having to go to 6-7 shows that dont exist withing 500 miles of your home to qualify, it might strike up some intrest in iasca again but i hope not, usac all the way
Straight from IASCA's members newsletter
Now lets go by what we had last year which was 4 1x's 2 2x's and 1 3x's. Basically means you almost have to attend every show possible if you want to make it to finals unless you place 1st in a big show(2x or 3x). Good luck Thrill with IASCA and was good talking to ya last year but I wont be bothering this year competing.
To qualify for the IASCA World Finals you must fulfill the
following obligations; Compete in a Territorial/Regional event and
accumulate 35 competition points or more to receive an automatic
Finals qualification. OR be ranked in the top 3 for competition
points in your category within your zone. Rookie competitors will
only need 25 points and compete at a Territorial/Regional event to
qualify for the IASCA World Finals
Here is how the points are scored
1X Show:
--------
1st Place = 5 points
2nd Place = 4 points
3rd Place = 3 points
4-10th Place = 2 points
2x Show:
--------
1st Place = 10
2nd Place = 8
3rd Place = 7
4th Place = 6
5th Place = 5
6-10th Place = 4
3x Show
-------
1st Place = 15
2nd Place = 13
3rd Place = 12
4th Place = 11
5th Place = 10
6-10th Place = 9
