i need lots of advice

ok, this is gonna be long. i drive a 2003 dodge 1500, regcab, and i wanna build a decent sq system but not pay an arm and a leg. so any tips or advice would be appreciated

head unit
im lookin at either jvc or clarion. it has to be able to play ipod, and have the front load usb port. Clarion DXZ575USB or JVC KD-SH1000 ?
which one is easier to operate the ipod? which one would have better clarity for compressed files (on the ipod and flashdrives) and which one for cd's? any other decks you would recomend.

speakers
6x9 in the front doors. MB Quart DTF 169 3 ways are 4 ohms, and Infinity Kappa 693.7i 3 ways are 2 ohms. how much of a difference would i notice between these? also, are 3-ways all that much better then 2-ways?

5.25 in the back. i wanna go with components for these. MB Quart DSF 213 or Infinity 50.7cs ? also, if you are familiar with my truck, where would u suggest mounting the tweeters? should i mount them on the surface, or behind the plastics beside the woofer?

i will be using dynomate extreme throughout the whole truck and likley be using the Pioneer GM-6300F to power it. subs will come later.

so any suggestions on decks and speakers and such would be appreciated

thnx guys!

Deck is pretty much preference.

2 ohm speakers will get more power out of an amp.

I personally wouldn't bother replacing the back speakers.

you should try DD :smilie_da

i know deck is preference
but does n e one know which one is easier to navigate
the ipod through? cuz i hear some can be a pain

and why wouldn't i replace the rear speakers? wouldn't that
completly ruin the idea of sq? and again, n e advice about 3-ways?

Chances are you cannot even hear your back speakers, especially with new fronts and a sub or two.

How come you have 4 6X9s in your future setup? Or are they all going in the front of the car?

The Clarion is a pretty slick unit and navigates pretty nice with the IPOD. They are shipping now. And not to mention the Clarion piece has 24Bit Da convertor as well. I have not personally used the JVC though.

lol, no, two 6x9's in the front, and two 5.25's in the back.

and thnx about the advice on the head unit.

still no advice on 3-way 6x9's? do they just have a bigger range or what?

and i am definatly still replacing the rear speakers, but maybe i just wont

get components, maybe ill look at coaxials

just use 6.5's in the place where the 6x9's were?
