IASCA champ Honda FIT
good stage height. nicely layered stage depth. Stage width is wide although not extending really wide beyond the mirrors like some of the best cars Tonality is great. Easy to PCM out where everything was three dimensionally stage wise from drivers seat. Never sat in the passenger side.
;p

the woofer in the back handles very little of the spectrum.
8" woofers in the kicks really bring the bass forward, anything lower than they produce is hard to localize anyways. especially when its in a balanced system.
i wasn't comparing it to anything specific.

The installs visual impression isn't going to change no matter how it sounds
thats evaluating two entirely different things.
BUT, looking through the build log, I would be inclined to believe it would be a great sounding car.
it is a wonderful install, there is so much detail behind the scenes attributing to its sound and functionality.
there is just no flash.

the question has nothing to do with the install, i was asking how you think or if you think your perception of how its sounds would be different if you hadnt had an opportunity to see the install, ie, speaker placement etc.

Why so much interest in this car?

not typically they dont, but when we see before we hear it can change what we hear. im talking about all cars really, and the relationship of what we see and how it can effect what we hear, depending on the order in which they happen. this car is just the example im using, the question goes out to audio in general, home, car, headphones etx
That's like asking what if pigs could fly! It sounds eerily like you are probing into the subjective/objective judging of a system, which is going to start nothing but a $#!t storm... If the opinion of the a judge or myself is skewed by the appearance of the install, what was is the point in listening to it at all? Look at the Alpine BMW concept. Coolest looking install I've seen in a long time, but it most definetly does not mean it is a top performing SQ competitor.......
