Ideas For Brahma Sealed Box
#1
Hello, I'm kind of new here. I had my brahma MKII in a 2cu. ft. ported box in the trunk of my ford focus sedan. Now I have an extended cab truck and I'm looking to go sealed. Adire specs 0.7 - 1.5 cu. Any reccomendations or knowledge I should know about.
Thanks,
Glenn

thats 1.2 cubes.
It really doesnt extend that low, then again its in a reg cab.
I`d have to say it sound better ported.

i just wanted to make sure on everyones thoughts. Im going to use a JBL BP1200.1 @ 1ohm load. I had designed a box that is 1.498cu ft sealed, but i wasnt to sure on what to do. Is it going to be sloppy that big?

Different subs but heres my experience with sealed box size.
I put my kicker cvr 12s in a box 1.5 cft per sub.
I then put them in a 1 cft per sub box.
They hit harder and sounded better in the 1 cft enclosure.
The bigger box sounded too boomy for me and over emphasized the bass too much for my taste.
May be a different story with the brahma, just wanted to give you an idea.

well ive been playing with some numbers and the sub box is going to be roughly 1.33cu ft minus the sub, so it'll be a nice 1.18cu. Its my first sealed box with this sub, i guess i gotta start somewhere and try it.
