Hey just a couple questions for past and present users of JLs top lines.. What is the better woofer for SQ, the W7 or W6? Also, have you ever heard of a W7 having a weird swooshing sound to it? Let me know what you think

 

Is the sub inverted? There could be some noise coming from the pole piece. The enclosure might be making the noise too.

 

Great subs. The W7 is a nicer sub, but you only get a small gain in performance for a large price increase.

I have not heard any odd sounds from the subs.

 

ya me neither.. thats just what i heard from a member on another forum.. i have no complaints with mine so far

 

had a 10 w7 and there were no noises.

 

i am a proud and happy owner of the 12" W6 and this sub sounds great for SQ.
the box ofcorse should be sealed. by JL box sould be 35.5 Liters, i Made a 25 Liters box and its sound alot better. fast and punchy. kicks and return! perfectly reliable to source.
