JL ZR650csi

just orderd a set for the front stage in my new STI never got to here them tho. I plan on running them off my Kicker zx350.4, i also got a other set of JL TR6.5's (i think) for the back fill. With a JL clean sweep so i can run the factory nav/head unit and get good sound up front.

have any of you guys herd the JL ZR650's do they sound good+loud?
And do you think the clean sweep will help with the SQ?

worse sounding components I've ever heard! They sound like tin cans dragging behind a car. If I was given those for free, I'd refuse them...........Seriously, just giving you a hard time because I can't understand how you can buy speakers without hearing them first. Anyway, you're lucky, those are very nice components and sound great. Give them lots of power to get real loud, and install them properly. The clean sweep is an excellent product and will definitely be an improvement over your stock sound.

kind of off topic.. just wondering how much power these components can handle going into the crossover. I know they are rated at 60 but that seems pretty low. Thanks

Hey, I have the JL VR 650s and I absolutely love them. They are powered off a Memphis 4ch bridged to give them 230 to each crossover. They are absolutely loving it now, had them running off deck power for 3 months. Great midbass and clear highs. Only paying $200 BNIB instead of $350 retail adds to the value for me as well LOL. Anything else you want to know just ask.

Just noticed those are the coaxs. Can you still cancel the order? If so I would personally get the VR 650 CSi components and forget about the rears for now. You can add them later if you feel it is necessary. Run them off your amp bridged and you will not be disapointed. If you are ever in the Brampton area let me know and I can arrange a listen for you. I do not miss my rear speakers at all and this is the first system I have ever had without them. I am really glad I spent the extra on the fronts instead of getting cheaper fronts and rears.

ya they are the JL EVO ZR650csi. I am getting them from visions and they only had the cr650's in store and they sounded ok so i figgerd the zr's would sound great. And 4 the rear fill they are the coxl but i am getting them almost free with the fronts. The stock speakers in the new STI's SUCK bad so they should be way better in the back. The back fill will just be runn of the deck and i am going to use my zx350.4 just for the fronts.
Plus once my car is off warrenty and is mostly paid for, i am going to cut up the doors and put in kick pallels and a hole lot more speakers in the doors front and back.
